The concerned project deals with

(a) Medical data acquisition for diseases like Covid-19 and Cancer

(b) Structuring data for medical use

(c) Presenting the information to medical practioners for treating critical Covid-19 and Cancer patients who are under complete medical support (drugs and medical equipment) in ICUs.
Interpretation & Methodology (Covid-19)
The main objective of this project is to describe various methods and technicalities to construct a suitable blockchain to help healthcare industry in developing the most appropriate treatment against coronavirus that drives the entire world into pandemic and causes deaths of numerous people on earth. Scientists, doctors, medical staffs, health workers and all others attached to the fighting against the pandemic have been chosen as the major variables for this project. Research, findings, field data, observations, perceptions, and provisional projections of treatment over a period etc. contribute mainly to this study and help us to develop the most appropriate design for constructing the blockchain.
The fundamental design of the blockchain has been drawn on two basic concepts. At first, patients with mild, moderate and severe symptoms of Covid-19 who are admitted to the hospital for treatment, will be studied for parameters like perceived symptoms, provisional diagnosis, drugs recommended etc. The second concept deals only with extreme severity of the disease that damages different organs of the human body and drives the patient towards death in an unknown way. All information about the above are supposed to be stored in a database in such a manner that at any point of time, any one searching for information on the above matter with real-life case-studies, may gather it instantly to treat the existing patients under consideration and equally, any further research on the above concepts may be uploaded at any time by anyone from any part of the world and ultimately it will help in controlling coronavirus infections and patients more efficiently and effectively, reducing the death-rate. It will also help in developing appropriate drugs for treatment of Covid-19 patients across the globe.
We have also tried to define the database in terms of a “storage of effective study” --- a sincere approach to help the scientist and researchers to develop effective drugs and accurate treatment against Covid-19.
The database is not editable by anyone but may be viewed by everyone who will log into it. If new findings are observed or achieved by anyone, he/she may upload the work in a particular section of the database and may be thrown open for experts’ reviews. This small or big contribution may help the world fight coronavirus in a more effective way.
At last, we extend our gratitude to all the participants who tirelessly worked for constructing the blockchain with bundles of information and experiments dedicated to humanity.
The Design
The Blockchain is a decentralized non-editable database with complete provisions of updating and adding new blocks developed from time to time. Deletion of data is impossible except in cases of incorrect or inauthentic entry. Blocks are corelated among themselves under relational integrity which will be defined by the nature of queries to be done from external sources.
Each block will have a separate entity and store information in terms of defined variables one value of which will coincide with one of the values of another block. Thus, stored data will always support the data inquired by the user.
For genomics, stored information will search similar values that will be entered by the user. If not found, the new value will be stored in the same block as a value of the pre-defined function.
The main source of data is hospitals across the globe, treating Covid-19 cases under different set-ups and understanding. Case to case variation is important to understand the algorithm of general treatment, if not particular. Trends of treatment based on provisional diagnosis and requirements of immediate components like oxygen or remdesivir must be analyzed for achieving a particular result that is relevant to the cure of the patient. Information relating to the above will be available to treat new cases and complications.
The blockchain once created cannot be deleted but functions will be there to add new blocks and update the existing ones; with the permission of the ‘mobile administrator’ who will be present in front of the user willing to add or update.
The entire blockchain will be fully protected from external entities and hacking. Layers of security will be provided and without the consent of the administrator, it’s not possible to even view the content of the blockchain. The user must take permission from the administrator once only – which will enable him/her unlimited entry. The state-of-the-art security architecture will prevent the blockchain even from sharing its resources with any unauthorized or unknown entity.
Finally, all medical data including facts and findings may help the world in protecting its citizens with appropriate treatment against Covid-19.
